A history lesson about the SJSU vs. Hawaii exhibition football game 70 years ago today during the bombing of Pearl Harbor. It’s crazy to imagine how close we are to things in our lives that seem to have little significance. The chapel on campus, for example, the one I’ve never visited, is actually a memorial to one of the soldiers on the SJSU team from that day. One veteran became a football coach for Cam High in Ventura, the county I grew up in. On another note, movies on Pear Harbor always make me sad.
